Delete your Tara account

You can permanently delete your Tara account and erase the personal data we hold about you directly from the Tara mobile app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by contacting us (see “Can’t access the app?” below).
How to delete your account in the app
Follow these steps:
- Open the Tara app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation).
- Under the Account section, tap Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted. If you have wallet balance remaining, you will see a warning that unused balance will be forfeited and cannot be refunded after deletion.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap Delete my account.
You will be signed out automatically. Your account and associated data will be removed from our systems.
Note: If you are in an active AI consultation (chat or voice call), end the session first, then try again.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently erase (or irreversibly disassociate) the following:

| AI-generated content | Life reports, Nadi reports, saved readings (tarot, palmistry, face reading, etc.), daily cosmic scores |
| Family profiles | Sub-profiles you created for family members |
| Commerce data tied to you | In-app store orders and shipping addresses, wallet transaction history, referral codes and referral events |
| Engagement data | Push notification tokens, in-app notifications, remedy tracker items, subscription records (Tara Plus), notification preferences |
| Linked channels | WhatsApp account link (if connected) |
| Stored files | PDF reports stored in our private cloud storage for your account |
After deletion, you will not be able to recover this data, even if you register again with the same phone number or email.
Wallet balance
If your Tara wallet has unused balance at the time of deletion, that balance is forfeited. We do not issue refunds for unused wallet balance as part of self-service account deletion.

How long deletion takes
- App and database records: Removed immediately upon confirmation.
- Cloud-stored PDF reports: Deleted within a short period after your account is removed (typically within minutes).
- Cached systems: Some short-lived caches (e.g. daily insight cache) expire automatically within 48 hours.
We do not operate a separate “deactivation” state — deletion is permanent.
What we may retain (and why)
Certain records may persist for limited legal, security, or operational reasons. Where retained, they are not used for marketing or profiling:

Third-party services
Deleting your Tara account removes data from Tara’s systems. It does not delete data held independently by third parties you used through Tara, such as:
- Google (if you signed in with Google)
- Razorpay (payment history)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (push delivery infrastructure)
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash logs and diagnostics)
- Firebase Analytics (app interaction and analytics events)
- Meta / WhatsApp (if you used WhatsApp features)
You may need to manage those accounts separately.
Can’t access the app?
If you cannot sign in or use the in-app deletion flow, email us at [email protected] with:
- Subject line: Account deletion request
- Your registered phone number and/or email
- A statement that you want your Tara account and personal data permanently deleted
We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days as required under applicable law.

Re-registering after deletion
You may create a new Tara account using the same phone number or email after deletion. The new account will not include any data from your previous account.
Children
Tara is not intended for users under 18 years. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at Contact and we will delete it.
